Designer Alya Gonta Shares Her Tips for Sustainable Style

It was Hemingway’s erotic novel The Garden of Eden or, more specifically, the depictions of the South of France within it, that provided inspiration for Lessless’ signature linen shirt dress. Luxe and carefree, it embodies the type of summer that most of us can only fantasise about at present—throw it on for the beach, dress it up for sundowners, wear it again tomorrow.

This kind of versatility is at the core of everything this L.A.-based, Ukrainian-founded brand does, as is ethical, sustainable production. Supporting independent ateliers, producing in small batches and using high-quality, natural fabrics (linen, silk and partially recycled “eco-cashmere”) are key for designer Alya Gonta, who shared her tips for a more sustainable summer with V.F. below.
